Relax and unwind in the rolling hills and expansive lakes of Rydal Water – come and spend a weekend getaway in the peaceful Lake District setting with this two-night yoga retreat for mind, body and soul.

Leave the hustle and bustle of daily life behind and join us for an uplifting, rejuvenating and deeply restoring weekend retreat hosted by two Liverpool-based yoga instructors. Enjoy some time for yourself and reconnect with nature in the midst of autumn, finding your balance and ground with the natural rhythms of the season.

Join us for a truly indulgent autumn break in a warm and cosy lakeside setting where you can be in good company and let go and immerse yourself in yoga and mindfulness practices. Come and enjoy a real autumnal treat!

The retreat will include:

– Two nights full board stay at Nab Cottage

– Daily dynamic and restorative Hatha yoga & meditation sessions

– Mindfulness practices and a mindful walk to Easdale Tarn

– Yoga nidra practices

– Outdoor yoga and optional wild swim

– Songs and harmonium on the outside terrace

– Access to Grasmere village and Ambleside

– Meeting and spending time with like-minded people

Please bring your own yoga mats and props, some can be provided on request. Yoga sessions are suitable for all levels. Beginners are welcome.


Fresh and delicious seasonal vegetarian/vegan meals at the cottage restaurant: Friday evening dinner, Saturday morning breakfast, a wholesome packed lunch for our walk/outing in the afternoon and evening dinner, plus Sunday morning brunch. Drinks are not included. The menu will be tailored for the group – vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets can be catered for.

Nab Cottage on the side of Rydal Water is a relaxing cottage nestled amidst the Central Fells and a short stroll from the idyllic villages of Grasmere and Ambleside. It is located at the heart of the Lake District National Park, midway between Windemere and Keswick, making it easily accessible by car, bus, train or coach. You can enjoy beautiful views of green rolling hills and expansive lakes all around you. The peaceful, tranquil setting makes Nab Cottage the perfect location for a rejuvenating and deeply restorative break to get away from it all. Stroll into Rydal or Grasmere village during free time, go for a walk and enjoy seasonal produce. Or simply unwind in the yoga barn and chill out areas: it’s up to you. Practise yoga in both indoor and outdoor spaces, in the sun or under the cool shade of luscious trees.

The weekend schedule:

Arrival time is from 5pm on the Friday. Rosanna and Sion will warmly welcome you at the cottage with an evening Hatha yoga class and meditation session so you can relax after your journey, followed by a dinner all together in the cottage restaurant. On Saturday morning, there will be Hatha yoga classes and meditation to help you wake up and energise your body, centre your mind and feel refreshed for the day ahead, followed by a wholesome breakfast. During the afternoon, there will be an optional mindful walk to Easdale tarn, one of the Lakes much-loved wonderful walks where we will enjoy a healthy packed lunch, outdoors yoga and meditation session and dip in the lake should you wish to! Or you can simply choose to relax and put your feet up at the cottage or stroll into Rydal or Grasmere village and surrounding areas or have some quiet time in the yoga space. On return to the hotel, there will be free time, followed by a mindfulness session and evening restorative yoga class and meditation to help you ease into your evening, followed by a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant. We can enjoy the outdoors areas for songs and harmonium. On Sunday, we will enjoy a morning yoga class and a special brunch all together on Sunday morning, and an optional walk before the retreat finishes at 2pm.

Getting to Nab Cottage: You can either travel by car, or the nearest train station is Windemere. There will be an optional pickup from Windemere train station on Friday evening to the cottage. Alternatively you can catch a bus to Grasmere village or national express coach to Grasmere. You can find a map to Nab Cottage here

The retreat is suitable for all levels of yoga practice, beginners and those with more experience.

Fully Booked

Come on your own, with friends or family. The accommodation is on a Shared Room basis (twin or double) sleeping two persons. Or there is a Single Room supplement. Shared and Single rooms currently available.

Prices per person

Shared (Double/Twin) Room: £295 early bird offer if booked by 15th September, £345 after that. The Single Room supplement is +£20pp per night.

The rooms are all individally furnised and warm and cosy. The rooms at the front overlook the lake and the ones at the back are quieter with views up to Nab Scar. All rooms have Wi-Fi and Tea & Coffee making facilities.

There will be social distancing and safety measures in place due to Covid-19 in line with government guidelines in the yoga space and dining area.

**Ticket prices include a £150 non-refundable deposit. Cancellations up to 31st August will be entitled to a full refund excluding the £150 deposit. Cancellations between 1st September and 14th September are entitled to a 30% refund. Cancellations between 15th September and 9th October are entitled to a 10% refund. In the case of a cancellation due to Covid-19, there will be a full refund.
